Game 12: #3 Michigan 45, #2 Ohio State vs 23 (Final)

This is the point when Michigan fans would start acting like they didn't care about the rivalry anyway right?

 

I refuse to put this on defense. The offense failed to take advantage of key momentum seizing plays. The defense was playing outstanding, but you can only sell out so long before you get burnt.

My thoughts
1) Hartline needs to continue to develop. We should have not been covered as much or had as many dropped balls

2) Day needs to give up play calling

3) more north/south run game

4) our corner play is bad...bad bad

5) I'm glad CJ is gone. Records or not. I feel like he never lived up to the hyper. He could never take a game over..Give me DJ or The kid from UNV

6) Hopefully taking McCord over JJ was worthy it

Lol. Had to work today. So glade I didn't see the game live. I told you guys. This team was not a top ten team. And don't tell me that Meat is elite. They put a beat down on Ohio State without a RB and without WR's on the road. When you almost loose to Maryland what do you expect. Ohio State is somewhere between 10-15. Glad they lost now then in the playoffs. They would have gotten a beat down and had their asses handed to them by Georgia, LSU, USC, or TCU. Hairball knew that Stroud couldn't run if his life depended on it. Unlike JJ when you needed it. Day better hope for a transfer QB next year that has some mobility. And why didn't Dallan play today? Don't expect to beat M next year at the big house with this roster.

I was with you until you said this. I never ever ever want to lose to that team up North. I'll take getting blown out by Bama or Clemson or whoever 1,000 times before I want to lose to TTUN again. Get your priorities straight

The reality is, Day HAS to give up play-calling to be a successful HC at this level. If he want to call plays as the HC, take your ass to the NFL. The issue is, the emotions of the game, plus clock management, plus all the other logistics just can’t be managed when you’re trying to think of the next play, or two, three, four plays from now. Give it up and let your OC call the damn plays!

And yes, this team lacked discipline. That’s absolutely on Day. Players feared Urban. They don’t fear Day. Are you a buddy? Or are you a Coach? Figure it the fuck out!
