If he can have the #1 offense in the BigTen with Indiana, imagine what he will do at Ohio State! Indiana's Ranking In Total Offense (Big Ten) under Kevin Wilson2011-102012-32013-32014-72015-12016-3 pic.twitter.com/xUHgeE1SbC— The Buckeye Nut (@TheBuckeyeNut) January 4, 2017
Wilson's 2008 offense at Oklahoma is one of only 3 Power Conference teams to average 50+ ppg in the last decade (Baylor/FSU, 2013). Oklahoma also finished 3rd in the country in passing offense in 2 of Wilson's final 3 seasons in Norman.
Indiana was 3rd in pass attempts per game in 2015, but they led the Big Ten in passing by almost 30 yards per game. By comparison, Ohio State was dead last in the Big Ten in pass attempts per game in 2015, and 12th in passing yards.
Addition of Kevin Wilson should mean a return to explosiveness and pace for Ohio State's offense @clevelanddotcom https://t.co/Qx4yuzz8WQ— Bill Landis (@BillLandis25) January 4, 2017
Wilson will be named Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends coach.... Not sure of the timing............no worries.
I can't imagine Wilson not being in complete control of the offense even if Warriner maintains the co-OC title.
With vote coming up to approve a 10th coach being tied into early signing period, if it goes down. Who will get boot for Wilson, or do we miss on Wilson.
The NCAA’s Division I council proposed two rule changes to college football on Wednesday that, if adopted, would significantly change the sport. The committee suggests adding a pair of 72-hour early signing periods, beginning on the last Wednesday in June and in mid-December. Currently, the only period in which high school prospects can sign their binding National Letters of Intent begins on the first Wednesday in February. This proposal would take effect next year. The second major change is the proposed addition of a 10th assistant coach. Currently, teams are allowed nine full-time assistant coaches. The move may also prelude an attempt to cap the number of non-assistant staff who perform many of the same functions as full-time assistants, an issue the committee says it will examine in the upcoming year.
The way I understand it a yes vote is for both, you cant vote yes on one and no on another. If thats the case, I think it is Ludacris. I think 10 coaches is fine and 3 quality control. Those 3 can be assigned to any role, so 1 on each O, D, and ST or hell if you want all 3 on defense. The early signing period will be hell, only plus I could see is not having to spend so many resources on 1 kid until Feb, but these are 16 year olds. I'm 29 anf from June to Feb of this year alone I changed my mind on the house we're buying atleast 6 times.
