It's funny to think that I've been here since SB was in its infant stages, can't believe 2007 is so far behind us. This site has been through a lot and I love where it's heading and proud to say that I've been apart of it since the near beginning.
I joined SB.com in July, 2008 and was just another nobody poster. A few months later, I began writing articles for, and was asked to be an Ohio State Football Featured Columnist on, BleacherReport.com In March, 2009, I founded my blog, BlockONation, and nearly 400,000 hits, and over 2,300 followers on Twitter later, I'd call myself one of the better known Buckeye blogs out there in the flooded Buckeye blog landscape, and I do mean flooded. The same can be said of SB.com as there are tons of Buckeye/CFB Forums, but not all of them have the quality content & quality posters that assemble here at SB!!! As far as Buckeye Forums and College Football Forums go, I have pimped this site, SB.com, and TBDPITL in my articles on both B/R & from BlockONation, and also on Twitter as the top 2 Forums on the entire Interwebs and I truly believe they are just that!
I didn't join until 2008. I was a contributor over at BP, I believe I am still 6th in posts and I haven't posted regulary over there for years. I came across this site from a buddy of mine. I have been here ever since. I love the board and everyone who posts. Drama free for the most part and the discussions are increasing and stimulating.
I didn't join untill 2011... Where the hell was I for the first 4 years?:noidea: I'm so glad I found this place, and I'm so pissed it took me so long to find. I've been trying to promote the site, but I have trouble finding Buckeye fans that are as passionate as we are on here. We are a rare breed SB Nation, our wives abd girlfriends are right. Trust me...
If it makes you feel any better, you're one of my favorite SB brothers.... I know I'm supposed to love you all the same, but there's a special place in my iPad for you Hollis...... *Seriously, you are one of my favs........
It takes a little more than that to fill the void... but I'll tell you what... it's nice to have a VIP sort of feel to that forum and the scenery sure doesn't hurt either... But I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I've been on here... and I'm certainly not going anywhere... this board is my homepage for a reason. I know Phatty, Block O, and I have a tendency to hijack threads and get off topic... but that's part of what makes this site as unique as it is. I feel as though I could sit in a bar, or on a patio/porch for an evening with any of you guys and it wouldn't be any different than sitting on here... short of having to buy more than a 12 pack and not making an idiot of myself drunk posting, lol. There's a great mix of knowledge, insight, and perspectives here... and the occasionally recurring troll (who could that be? lol) but the mods keep things running smooth... Well done Gents, I may not speak for all the members... but I love this place. Thanks for giving members of Buckeye Nation a kickass place to call home for all things Buckeye, year round. :thumb:
It's crazy to think it took me so long to find this place, lol... And it's funny... I don't even remember how I stumbled across SB, lol.
I guess I would be considered a newbie on this site but in my opinion this is by far the best site for Ohio State info. I particularly enjoy looking through OBJ's recruiting posts. I was on another site, won't name names but they changed things around in the last fews years and it just wasn't the same. So finding this place was pretty sweet!
I notice you've been on here a lot lately USCB... Although you don't post a ton, you seem to be on here almost daily... Thanks for visiting, go Bucks...
