Well first off, I was just calling it what it is, just a dunk. I wasn't suggesting that it was on par with a championship or breaking a record. Was just throwing it out there for discussion because I thought it was pretty bad ass last night. I was watching the game live in NBA TV at about 12:30 last night. I thought it was sweet.

2nd, that was Kendrick Perkins that he dunked on. Although I think Perkins is a big baby he's not the "Big Baby," that's Glen Davis.

3rd, he dunked on who was in front of him. If it was Kobe or LeBron he would've done the same..

This dunk was on Kendrick Perkins, not "Big Baby Davis," and Perkins is a good defender, with a 7' 4.5" wingspan.

That dunk was spectacular, and there won't be another 1000 like it ever.

Posterizing Perk is about the toughest dunk in the league IMO. The guys is solid, and that wingspan is ridiculous. Dunk of the year!

    That's exactly what I think.

Were you watching it Live last night Hollis?

It was on NBA TV, I was watching and about ready to turn it off and go to bed because L.A. was up by 20 early in the 3rd Qtr.

    I'm glad I kept watching.

CP3 is freakin awesome. That's possible the best 2-player combo in the league. If they were in NY or NJ they would get 3X the press.

Best 2-player combos in the league

    Griffin - CP3
    LBJ - Wade
    Durant - Westbrook
    Felton - Aldridge
    Ellis - Curry (don't laugh, I love those 2)
    Melo- Stoudemire

I missed the game, but I love CP3. Probably my second favorite player if he was on TV more. I wish more young PGs modeled their game after his than guys like Brandon Jennings (though he is great at what he does).

it was barely a dunk IMHO....i hate dunks where they barely touch the rim. Lebron's the other night where he jumped over my man's head was better.

    Yeah you're right.

That's why I like Kyrie Irving and Shannon Scott so much. They're both going to be very similar to CP3 if they develop

Shannon Scott is a helluva player. There's just a log-jam right now in our Backcourt.

After Buford us gone next season, I think we'll see a lot of a smaller Line-up with Craft, Scott, and Lenzelle...

I give the nod to Blake because he took on a larger defender, head-on, with contact.

    But they're both awesome.

I disagree about Melo/Stoudemire... Melo isn't that consistent of a team player, this season he just seems to chuck up shots whenever/wherever he wants. Stoudemire just happens to be very good at being in place to make Melo look good by cleaning up his trash.

That's true... That NY situation needs some work.

I wonder what adding Baron Davis will do. They need a good PG, but you never know what you're getting from Davis.

It's not really a disagreement at all.

I feel the same way about it that you do Sarge.

Hell, I put Felton/Aldridge and Ellis/Curry ahead of them.

I only put them on the list because I thought the majority of people would probably think they are one of the top duos in the game..

Tony Douglas is a stud basketball player but he's better at SG. He can definetly score points in a hurry.

They're missing Billups. That guy is so under-rated.

Hahaha, you mean the buffoons that think a flashy player who always tries to put up 40+ is a good team player?

It's hard not to put Rondo / Pierce up on that list, but the Big 3 are all having down years this season due to the short camp time to get up to speed...

Man I absolutely can't stand Rondo, Pierce, Garnett, Doc Rivers, Glen Davis, Kendrick Perkins, etc....

About the only players that have played for the Celtics over the last couple years that I like are Ray Allen, Nate Robinson, and Delonte West...

Sarge - Are you a Celt fan because you're Irish?

Agree with all but Kevin Garnett because that dude really tried to win something in Minnesota, he stuck it out and tried to win with very little pieces around him.

Speaking of Billups, that just proves the turnaround with the Clippers... playing mostly 2 guard this season, Billups is ONLY averaging 15.8 pts, 2.8 reb, and 4.2 asts per game. His FG % is a little down this year at 36.4% but that partly due to him shooting 10 of 36 in 4 of his last five games, but he's still shooting 37.4% from Downtown and 89.2% on FT... For a guy that's been in the league so long and is every bit as deadly as Ray Allen when he gets hot shooting, like his 32-pt outburst a couple nights back, that's nice numbers to get from your 2 Guard. I think once he fully adjusts and synchs in with Griffin and CP3... man, the Clippers are only gonna get better as the season goes on.

Nope, but I do think Rondo is one of the better point guards in the league these days, he's a damn good floor general and distributor. I respect the hell outta the guy's game, but that doesn't mean I have to like him or root for him.

The only Celtics I like and respect are Allen and KG. Ray Allen and Reggie Miller are the two purest shooters I've seen play in my lifetime. And KG, it's hard not to like the guy. He stuck it out for years in Minnesota and gave them every chance to put enough talent around him to make a winner, the management just sucked at evaluating talent and were too miserly about spending money for top level talent. He plays hard and just loves the game, a blue collar player. I respect the hell outta that.
