He's just has not lived up to the hype and potential they thought he had. Nothing personal against Klein, not everyone can live up to the expectations and standards involved in a program like tOSU, especially at the LB position...

I mean, Chris Spielman, AJ Hawk, Bobby Carpenter, Matt Wilhelm, James Laurinaitis, Andy Katzenmoyer, Tom Cousineau, Randy Gradishar, Pepper Johnson, Ike Kelley, Marcus Marek, Steve Tovar, Na'il Diggs, Jim Laughlin, Dirk Worden, Derek Isaman... there have been some fantastic LBs at OSU in the last 50 years and those are huge shoes to fill... but Klein just doesn't even seem to have what it takes to be an average LB at OSU... he has had 4 years to make his mark and prove himself on the field... he hasn't... and I understand that injuries slow people down and that some of it is also a lack of player development by the staff especially at LB... despite all the distractions around the program the last 3 seasons it is after all one of the staff's primary jobs...

i think it was great they let both teams play last night. both teams can walk away and say they got away with some holds. also, on the punt the long snapper got knocked down. i know at the high school level you are never to touch the long snapper. is that the same case at the college level??

 

You can’t hit him but you can block him. If the snapper still has his head down, you can’t touch him.

That was an iffy call last night. I did see a hold but it was so small compared to the ones that everyone was getting away with last night. But as we discussed, it didn’t exactly change the outcome of the game.
