I watched Bosa all night. He's a breast if we can keep Vrabel around to coach him, I honestly think he could turn him into a first round pick

Maybe I'm the only one. But Braxton is not 100% mentally and/or physically. His raw speed is just not there. That, and he's slowing down before he gets hit. Watch the film if you have to. He slows down before he gets hit every single time.

That Defense in 2002 was good all year long. They were ranked 2nd in PA/g after the year. Allowing only and avg. of 12 points per game. Not even in the same class. And the last time I looked, Tressel and that 2002 defense ain't walking through the door. Trying to believe, but it's just hard. I just don't see it. Out of the B1G this team might be in trouble. And what happened to Wilson? Hyde had a great day, but not even one carry by Wilson. Just odd.

I agree (and everyone else, I think). The question is, what's causing it?

    a. Braxton is subconsciously avoiding contact because of his knee. lack of confidence
    b. Braxton is consciously avoiding contact for fear of future injury
    c. Coaches are telling Braxton not to take a big hit, and he's just bad at avoiding contact

It shouldn't be "C". With a backup like Kenny Guiton, you can tell Braxton to go 100% in every 1 possession situation.

I think that if we notice that, surely the defense's of other teams have noticed also. I don't think he is 100%. I thought for a moment there that he was going to stay down. Props for at least for toughing it out.

our DB's were giving them too much space. also, the LB's have to get deeper when they drop in cover 2.

Our secondary didn't play their best game... same mistakes happening... blown coverages and missed tackles.

This needs to be addressed. Pitt Brown got burnt on several occasions.

Northwestern likes to isolate you in space and take advantage of you with their speeed (in my best Herbstreit voice)
