2008 Ohio State Buckeye Football Game 4: Troy Trojans (2-0) vs. #13 Ohio State Buckeyes (2-1) at Ohio Stadium (Columbus, OH) Date: September 20th, 2008 TV: Big Ten Network Kick Off: 12:00 PM ET Must come ready to play and respond BIG. I don't want a close game here. Who will be out starting QB?
What I would really like is to see Pryor play the whole game, start to finish. I don't see Tressel doing that, but maybe only playing TB enough to get some confiedence back, then playing Pryor. Our team needs to focus on making very few mistakes against Troy.
Troy runs the full-on version of the spread. Our defense had better not sleep walk through the first half or we may find ourselves trailing Troy in this game. Troy, which I believe is in the Sun Belt Conf, gets some of the cast-ffs from Auburn, LSU, Alabama, etc. because of academic or criminal problems. They usually have a few really decent athletes.
P.S. How big of a dullard do you have to be to wash out of Auburn or Alabama because of academics? Basically, I guess you have to not be able to figure out how to work a form and knife combination.
LOL. I'm seriously worried we come out flat in this one. Does anyone remember the last game we played the week after an early season loss to a top five team? Yeah, I'm talking about San Diego St., the week after Texas. Does anyone remember SD State's first play from scrimmage? Yeah... 80 yard TD pass.... We better not come out flat, or we will LOSE this game.
Troy usually plays BCS teams tough. Must I remind us all of how close Georgia came to losing to Troy not too long ago.
When will we learn how to defend the spread? It is getting annoying to watch teams like Ohio run it against us and look that good.
We're going to have to change defensive philosophy's to beat the spread IMO. We haven't been able to do it with Heacock so we obviously need a change.
If Obama were running for a head Coaching spot, i would vote him in...You're right scarlet, WE NEED CHANGE.
I don't know for sure, but I would say he's out for Troy. No real need to play him this weekend. Give him another weeks worth of rest so he's ready for the Big Ten schedule.
Just my opinion, but if I were Troy, I would rather than the Bucks won Saturday & were more likely to have a letdown than to be mad coming back home.
i am really worried that this could be a bad game... A let down game... they need to come in early strike fast and get the confidence back up.
