Detroit sophomore puts on a show.........Detroit Loyola sophomore defensive end Malik McDowell came into Sunday's Midwest Elite Big Man Camp with modest goals. By the time he left, people were buzzing about the 6-6, 260-pound defensive end potentially being one of the top players in the country for the class of 2014.

Man, this guy has extremely long arms.....
He's built sort of like 'Dolph but he's only 16 years old....
He could potentially grow into a OT.....

McDowell Not Getting Ahead of Himself.............The early recruiting attention is there for Detroit Loyola (Mich.) sophomore Malik McDowell, but concentrating on being 15 is the primary focus.

Touted 2014 DE Malik McDowell tells me he'll be at Michigan State next Friday. He'll also attend spring games at Michigan and Michigan State. Has offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Stanford and Syracuse.

6. Standing in at 6-foot-6, 265-pounds and already holding early offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Stanford and Syracuse, Detroit (Mich.) Loyola defensive end Malik McDowell has the look of a future blue-chipper. After a slow start during agilities, he showed why he’s going to be such a sought after prospect. McDowell used a variety of pass rushing moves, including a slick spin, and was virtually unblockable during those drills.
