I actually am excited to see Verlon Reed back. Before he got hurt he actually was pretty reliable and had some good hands. But if I see Corey Brown drop one more pass I swear I will duct tape his hands shut

Corey Brown has to be the most inconsistent starting WR we have had in some years..............I get so frustrating watching that kid...........
This group needs to show Meyer something in the spring...........

Ohh Bee Jay-
More frustrating to watch, Buford or Philly?
I think Devin and Evan should start next season with a possibilty of Muchael Thomas as well.
T.Y. (if stays) should bulk up and become a TE IMO..

OSU Staff Trying to Figure Out What They Have at Receiver
By Tony Gerdeman
Last season was a lost year for the Buckeyes in many respects. The interim coaching situation, the suspensions, the injuries, it all added up to a season without an achievable goal or a satisfying finish.
If there was one positive that came out of it, however, it was the amount of experience that Ohio State's wide receivers got.
Four different redshirt freshmen or sophomores started at least one game last season, and that doesn't even include true freshman Devin Smith, who never started a game yet led the team with 294 yards receiving.
With Devier Posey serving his suspensions, sophomores Corey Brown and Chris Fields both started eight games last season. Redshirt freshman Verlon Reed started five games before suffering an injury.
Redshirt freshman T.Y. Williams also got a start against Purdue, after playing in just six games prior to that point. This fact should give a pretty good indication as to why the Boilermaker game went the way it did.
What all of that experience did was better prepare these young players for their next go-round in 2012, a fact definitely not lost on new receivers coach Zach Smith.
"The best thing that happened for my group is that they got a lot of experience at a young age," he acknowledged.
Continued...........

WRs will be the most interesting position to watch this spring. This is one position that I think is WIDE open.

Like Urban said on his call in show we don't have any real game-breakers, but lets see what he can do with what we do have. I have faith in coach

LBer will be very interesting to watch as well....
As far as having no play makers on the roster, I think Chris Feilds is going to be a household name cone Fall...
I think Feilds will be the #1 WR in this offense with Jordan Hall and Devin Smith being the other main contributors..,

I think Devin Smith has a chance to be special............
Corey Brown has to find consistency catching the football.........
Braxton Miller's improvement will help this position...........
