Default Penn State Scandal

espn.com

Quote:
Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been indicted on felony sex abuse charges against minors.

According to The (Harrisburg) Patriot-News, Sandusky faces 40 charges that include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of someone under 16, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of someone under 16, indecent assault of someone under 13, and corruption of minors. The alleged incidents took place from 1996-2005, and the charges come after a grand jury investigation into Sandusky that took more than two years.

The 67-year-old spent 32 years as a Penn State assistant and was considered a likely successor to Joe Paterno. Sandusky retired after the 1999 Alamo Bowl and began working full-time for The Second Mile, a children's charity he founded in 1977.

Paterno and Penn State athletic director Tim Curley reportedly were among those who testified before the grand jury this spring.

A serious situation here. Read its been going on for 15 years?

EDIT: WOW, Sandusky got to these kids through a charity that HE set up for UNDERPRIVILEGED kids! How sick can you be?! Penn State should be ashamed that they harbored this guy for 15 YEARS! Paterno especially! I better see some investigation into this case, because its just sickening to read something like this being kept under wraps for this long

This is 1m times worse than any tattoo "scandal" yet this won't get anywhere near the amount of coverage.

I find it very, very disturbing that Paterno and PSU did not do more when the incident in the PSU shower was reported............no one did anything............
