Pickerington (Ohio) North offensive lineman Patrick Elflein says he plans to officially become a member of Ohio State's Class of 2012 when he visits the school Thursday.

Man, Pick-town is loaded with linemen. This kid, Jacoby Boren, Taco, and there's another one too.
Should it be a concern that most of these recruits/commitments this year are no-names untill they sign? I'm not very worried about it, I trust what OSU is doing but I hope they realize that they can pretty much get any player in the region that they want. It seems like they see a kid with a little bit of potential and offer him quickly after. Probably no big deal, I just don't remember a recruiting season like this in the past, but I also don't remember an off-season like this in the past either.

All-right, two Fairfeild county kids in one day representing the 740. These may have been under the radar, but Roberts and Elflein are good kids and will be solid Buckeyes. Welcome to the family Patrick

Elflein, 6 feet 3 and 285 pounds, reacted almost immediately after being offered a scholarship yesterday in the wake of Lakewood St. Edward lineman Kyle Kalis decommitting from OSU and pledging to Michigan last week. That gives Ohio State two offensive linemen in the 2012 class from Pickerington. Elflein, who was also courted by Purdue, Northwestern and Indiana, will be joined by Jacoby Boren of Pickerington Central.

From what I hear, this kid has an extreme nasty streak to him. He plays like helmet's on fire and refuses to lose. Rumblings of OSU possibly interested in Patrick playing DT. His frame is such that he can carry 300lbs without an issue.
In an interveiw with scout he talks about whipping Boren and never getting beat one on one by anybody period. I like his attitude and nastiness. The more I read on this kid, the more I likey. Another good student, much lime Roberts - solid character pick up at a time like this.

Ohio State has been hitting Central Ohio hard and it has been paying off. On Thursday everything worked out as Pat Elflein followed through with a promise to commit to Ohio State.
I'd hope he's being looked at as a DT because we have so many guards as is. Now, makes me wonder if he's a 3-tech or a beefed up 3-tech acting as a nose tackle like Larimore.

Just saw this video and it is even more impressive than the one above. This kid is nasty! I could care less about ranking, he is going to bring attitude to our O-line...Could be a great DT too. Love this pick up!!!
