I feel like THIS is going to be the most heated battle out of all the positions (CB's a close second). With Posey out for 5 games and Sanzo waiting to hear his name picked in April, Corey Brown is about the only guy who we can safely assume will see the field on the majority of the downs. Outside of him we still have James Louis, James Jackson, Ty Williams, Chris Fields, possibly even Verlond Reed (ATH/QB/WR?) and incoming freshman Devin Smith and Evan Spencer who want to make their presenses known. Stan Drayton really has his work cut out for this spring and fall. Competition breeds better play and I'm looking forward to watching this develop.

Personally I want James Louis and Ty Williams to shine through and grab the spots behind Brown. I've always liked Louis since I saw his film after he committed, and Williams is just a head taller than everyone else he will go up against this year. If he can hone his talents, he could be huge for us in the red zone

Should be interesting. Staff was high on Fields when they recruited him and in spring last year.
Stoney will get a lot of passes his way. The play that the staff ran in the Sugar Bowl with Fragel-they should find creative ways like that to get our TEs the ball.

This is my number one concern besides the qb spot this spring...We are very thin and extremely inexperienced. Something like 9 catches total from our returning guys while Poseys out. I see it going down as
1. Corey Brown
2. Chris Fields
3. James Louis (who in the videos looked much bigger than he did in HS)
4. Devin Smith
I would love for Ty Williams to be able to produce consistently but from what Im hearing he seems like hes a year away still.

yes. what did he show last year to make him any higher? his hands arent that great and he's no a very good blocker but his speed keeps him in the slot untill POsey comes back then he becomes a stretch the field 4
