Default Hall of Famer Taylor charged with rape

Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested early Thursday after being accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at a Montebello, N.Y., hotel, police said.

Taylor, who has a history of drug abuse and runs-in with the law, is being charged with third-degree rape, which involves having intercourse with a minor, authorities said.

The 51-year-old former New York Giants linebacker was taken into custody by Ramapo, N.Y., police and was being held in the town jail. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Additional information will be provided at a news conference.

Taylor, who starred for the Giants for 13 seasons, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. Last November he was charged in Florida with leaving the scene of an accident.

They now say 16 y/o.... but it's still statutory rape.

Yeah no kidding... that's disgusting. He'll definitely get severe punishment.

Has anyone ever had their HOF status removed?

It never ceases to amaze me all the hard work these guys put into their craft and make a nice living for themselves and they simply can't stay down. With his money he should be having hot models licking his toes in his mansion not banging some minor in a hotel room. What a dumbass!!!! and a POS!!!!
