Shoutbox - ScarletBuckeye

Hey everyone, seems to me like we can't seem to balance our use of the Shoutbox aka Chatroom. We are either constantly talking on it and ignoring the rest of the forum or, as we saw last weekend, we basically ignore the Shoutbox and comment in the forums. I know this is a new thing for us all but let's try to keep posting on the forum and talking in the shoutbox so that no one person is feeling lonely.

Hope to see us all (including me) make good use of the Shoutbox while it's here!

Is there a way to move the shoutbox to the top of the page? I think it'd get noticed more quickly if people are talking there. With it being @ the bottom of the page, when you go back to the main page after reading the threads, you don't think to scroll to the bottom of the page before clicking on a new thread to read, but if it's at the top and you see people are chatting it'd be easier, IMO.

It's the weekly chatbox you see at the bottom of the main page. It goes up on thursday and it's removed on monday. It is from the chat that occurs on thursday night at 9:30 pm.

I don't know. I kind of prefer it at the bottom of the page right now. It's a design layout look that I don't want to disrupt.

I agree with you. I think having the shoutbox at the top of the page would be distracting. And people will just want to post in it instead. Im hesitant on moving it but it is really up to you.

ok, i respect your opinions. I'm just noticing that the shoutbox isnt getting used that much, and i don't think people remember to look for it. Hopefully with all the talk about the shoutbox in this topic, people will remember its there for our use.

As well as we respect yours. You asked a great question. Shoutbox was put up to be a chat only for 1 night. I don't believe there are enough members to make it happen all the time.
