Really? This is your reasoning for why we lost some of these games?

I'm only going to comment on the games we lost by more than 10:

Florida; They had personnel that we didn't match up well with, and if you look at cfb the last 3 years, no one can really.

LSU: They were more talented than us; and if you don't believe that look at the NFL draft the last 2 years. As you said, no one expected us to be there, but LSU clearly was one of the best teams in the country when healthy.

USC: Beanie may have made a difference on the score but IMO not on the outcome in the W/L column. Once that phantom holding call negated a TD pass in the first half, the wind left our sails and it was see ya later sweetheart.

No excuses; OSU must play better. The other games could have gone the other way so no need to comment on those IMO

Don't drink the ESPN kool-aid. They are just pissed that the Big Ten has a network and they lose millions of dollars.

Florida & USC were both better teams than OSU when they beat the Buckeyes, but LSU was not.

We handed them that victory on a silver platter with Boeckman's turnovers, the stupid penalties, and the play-calling by NOT running more since they could not stop Beanie...

Not to mention again, it was in New Orleans, Louisiana i.e HOME GAME for LSU

That's nothing more than an excuse. If we were better than LSU we would have beaten them on their own turf or across the country.

Arap, I didn't use the word "better" but the expression "as good as"

Even if we were as good as them (I still think they were better than us) to say one of the reasons they won was because it was a home game for them is an excuse.

The question of "Is Ohio State football still among the elite"............the answer is yes..........regardless of the past few BCS championship games.......USC and LSU were just better..............we were just as good as Texas, they got a few breaks..........The Florida game.........well no one can tell me they were that much better than us..........other than that night...........

I don't remember anyone asking those questions when Oklahoma was losing BCS bowl games yearly............

LSU was better on both the defensive and offensive lines..............

I personally think it is ridiculous to even ask the question...........some tOSU fans need to find some reality..............

I agree with OBJ. If anyone actually thinks tOSU isn't among the elite programs then something is wrong. A couple BCS loses doesn't tarnish that.

In a word, YES
