Mike Edwards hasn’t started playing football for Tennessee, but the cornerback from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio, is already recruiting for the Vols.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Edwards signed with UT on Feb. 4. His teammate, junior cornerback Christian Bryant, received a scholarship offer from the Vols on the same day.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Bryant said he’s heard about UT from Edwards

“He’s been telling me how great they are,” Bryant said. “He told me how they practice and how their intensity in practice is and that the coaching is great.”

Bryant, who also has an offer from Stanford, said he’s learned about UT’s defense from secondary coach Willie Mack Garza.

“He was telling me how their coaching is and how their schemes are and how I would fit in there,” Bryant said of Garza.

Bryant would fit in with Edwards.

Bryant said he would feel better about choosing UT because of Edwards’ presence in Knoxville.

not real strong with only a 225 bench. may look good for his size but he needs to bulk up and get stronger.
