This is another great pickup for Thad Matta. How he continues to recruit like this is beyond me. This 2010 may be better than the oden class. I know it's hard to believe but very true. This kid surprised everyone by committing to early. Can't wait for that 2010 class. Welcome to OSU Lenzelle.

Zion-Benton 72, Taft 42

Zion-Benton High's boys basketball showcased its depth on Tuesday in a 72-42 stomping of Chicago Taft on the second night of the Lane Tech Thanksgiving Tournament.

Lenzelle Smith (9 points) also provided plenty of offensive support for the winners.

No. 3 Zion-Benton took care of host Lane Tech 63-47 led by Lenzelle Smith's 23 points.

Lenzelle Smith was the featured player in the period, hitting 3-point bombs on three consecutive trips down the floor. He also had a thunder dunk in the frame and finished with 23 points.

"We kind of let off the offensive concentration there for awhile; we took our intensity off," said Zion's Leznelle Smith, who finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four assists. "We got it back pretty quickly though. But we also showed we've got a long way to go."

In the North Suburban Lake opener for both teams, Paul scored five points during a decisive 10-0 run in the fourth quarter, and the Blue Devils held on despite a 39-point night from Zion's Lenzelle Smith.

Smith, a junior forward, scored 17 fourth-quarter points—15 of which came on five three-pointers—and hit seven threes overall. He also pulled down six rebounds for the Zee-Bees (5-1, 0-1), who finished second in Class 4A last season.

A big first quarter was all it took for Zion-Benton to bury host Lake Zurich en route to a 75-64 North Suburban Lake victory on Tuesday night.

Lenzelle Smith scored 13 points for the Zee-Bees.

Lenzelle Smith scored 20 points for Zion-Benton. Ben Brust led all scorers 37 points for Mundelein (3-4, 1-2).

Agreed, whoever "recruited" this guy did a good job! lol.

My only complaint is that he posts too much, it's hard to keep up with all these threads being active! (LOL)

He has multiple sources he brings in which really helps with getting information on Recruiting and other news in general.

He does post 50 times a day it seems like

I really like the articles he posts here. Like Dawg said it brings in a lot of useful information here.
