The O-line for 2009 is looking very deep.

Very good news. This should help us next season when he is eligible to play.

Think he'll beat out the Brew Crew O-lineman?

I love how the Michigan fans are spinning this so that Boren was fat and lazy and they didn't want him anyway. He was a five-star lineman out of High School and now we get him without having to use a scholarship and we will most likely get his brother, who is a desirable recruit.

I personally was a little against this at first, but then when I looked at the situation, I was all for it.
The biggest factor in limiting the success of the big time programs is the 85 scholarship rule. Because of big ten rules Boren has to pay his own way at Ohio State and can never be on scholarship. That means you're getting a guy with some significant starting experience that was a 5 star lineman who isn't taking up a spot, and thats adding to a crazy pool of O line talent.
Another thing is that its easy to forget as fans that as players, the rivalry isn't the same. They don't hate Michigan, they are just competitors and they understand each other. The few exceptions are that people like Mike Hart are easy to hate, but thats besides the point.
The Michigan team now truly is a different team. He should do just fine with not confusing who he is fighting for. Also with him sitting out a whole year, he's going to get used to being in the scarlet and gray before he takes the field against michigan.
Assuming his brother comes with us, which he will, then he'll be fighting for the success of his family along with the team. That's going to run much deeper than some old team loyalty.
As far as why he transferred, all he has to say is that Dick Rod is a big douchebag, and leave it at that. How long before Michigan players start getting arrested because Dick Rod recruits thugs?
