Default Expectations

with this class being one of the biggest in best in OSU history, i think its safe to say anything less than a NC is a failure, what are your guys thoughts?

If you don't play here, it's because you're not good enough. It's not because we're holding you back. We're going to recruit the kind of player where we want them on the field right now. That's the approach we took at Florida, and it's the approach we're going to take here.

Normally i'd say no. That's putting a lot of pressure on such a young team with only a few veteran players.

But with this team having a chip on their shoulder b/c of the bowl ban, a new surge of energy and an easier schedule than 2012, i'd say YES it is NC Game or bust this year.

Thats tough, but I don't think its unfair. Next year should be great, but the year after next I expect the Buckeyes to look like an SEC powerhouse in the B1G.

I remember a few years ago when Ohio State signed the best O-Line class in the country, some stud defensive players, and a QB that was suce a freak that he was called the LeBron James of football.

I heard people saying that they were expecting multiple NC's from that class. Honestly, I was too. Let's hope that we get it done!

I know we're all brimming with optimism right now and we may look back in a few years and go "what were we thinking?" but it's natural... human nature....

So in that vein.... Oklahoma. 47. We're coming for you! What do you guys think our chances are?

2012: 12 games, check
2013: 14 games 26-0
2014: 14 games 40-0
2015: 14 games 54-0

Ok... long shot even with our current optimism, but if we get through next season undefeated, including the championship and can start 5-0 in 2014, that puts us in a tie for #10 all time with Oklahoma and Penn at 31 games.

Bets anyone?

There will be 15 games/season for us starting in '14...
