Can I confess to being a Red Wings fan?

I haven't followed hockey in years. I was a Red Wings fan back when I was younger, and then when they founded the Blue Jackets, I wanted to follow them so badly, but they were so awful, I just couldn't.

Then I just quit following Hockey and have no idea how they've done lately. So I suppose I could come back to the Blue Jackets.

Convince me, Scarlet Buckeye

Since 1950, tOSU is 33-28-2 against TTUN
tOSU has 6 National Championships to TTUN's 1
tOSU has 6 Heisman Trophies to TTUN's 2
tOSU has 11 Rose/BCS Bowl* Wins to TTUN's 8
* I'm only counting BCS bowls from 1998 on, not early wins in bowls that later became BCS bowls. I'm also not counting the 2011 Sugar Bowl that was vacated. None of these numbers include the 2010-2011 season.

tOSU has 26 Big Ten Championships including 14 solo and 12 shared
TTUN's has 23 Big Ten Championships, including 11 solo and 12 shared.

tOSU's most recent Big Ten Championship: 2009
TTUN's most recent Big Ten Championship: 2004

Since 2001:
tOSU has 6 Big Ten Championships including 5 solo and 1 shared
TTUN has 2 Big Ten Championships, including 1 solo and 1 shared.

Blue jackets have been rotten, i think its one playoff appearance in last 10 years and i believe we were swept in our first series, but they seem to have fielded a competitve team this year from what ive seen in 2 games. I just got into hockey about 2 years ago to be honest, and i thought since i have no preferance might as well root for the home state team. I think we could be very competitive this year, especially with a 48 game season and even though we traded away our best player

Buffalo Sabres fan here. When I was in Columbus I did enjoy going to some CBJ games but I worry for their future, especially with this lock out.

Nationwide is a great venue. I have been in Joe Louis, RBC, TD arena, and the Verizon arena. All neat venues but Nationwide is my favorite. Not a bad seat in the house and the tickets are a great price. As a Wings fan I still go down for games because of the value of what I pay.

Couldn't agree more and that goes for concerts and other events too. I saw Bocelli and the Bold and Fresher Tour there.

They had two kickass games in a row. It's a shame they lost to the Redwings but it was definitely a show.
