Kirby Smart
Why is nobody in the Big 10 hiring this guy??
Seriously? I love Hazell, but Purdue must be insane to ignore Smart when they fired their HC...
I could've seen him fitting into a place like Wisconsin very well... He would have a huge impact on recruiting for the Badgers, and hell, he might've brought some Bama staff with him.
I don't know why, but it seems like the B1G (outside of TOSU) has consistently refused to look south to hire coaches (maybe conference pride). Or, maybe our schools are unwilling to spend the kind of money on assistants/facilities/etc that those coaches have become accustomed to in the SEC.

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Dan Mullen from Miss. St in the BigTen. Kirby would fit in well at MSU and I think Mullen would be a great fit for Nebraska.
Let’s face it. Bo Pelini is skating on thin ice. He is a "defensive guru” and gave up, off the top of my head, 63, 70, and 45 this year...

Imagine if 3 of our teams take chances on SEC assistants in Smart, Mullen, and Charlie Strong... We'd be a completely different conference.

You ask me Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota allneed a coaching change and need to pay the money to bring a good staff. The good coaches flock to the SEC because they pay them. It's time for the Big Ten to wake up and bring in good coaching staffs! So far ohio state and Michigan are the only two teams that I have done it.
