Better Coach?
I'm curious to have your guys' opinions on this... Who do you think is the better coach:
Pete Carroll, or Nick Saban.
These, in my opinion, were the two most dominant coaches in CFB over the past decade...
Pete's problem was that his teams always dropped at least one game to a lesser opponent- a problem that Saban shares, but is negated by the fact that his team plays in the $EC. I'm convinced that the Trojans would have multiple NCs if he could've snuck into the game with one loss a few of those years.
Saban, on the other hand, has the rings to show for it.

Good question!
I’ll take Saban. Three in four years speaks for itself...
I think Urban should be in this discussion, too. And that not being biased.

I do too, but I'd like to see an objective vote...

I think Saban's success at LSU gives him the edge here.

Saban is the better coach but I still think Carroll was the better recruiter.

Carroll wasn't necessarily the better recruiter of the two... Saban (61/16 1st rd) has actually sent more guys to the NFL than Carroll (55/14 1st Rd). What makes that more impressive is that you must consider Saban has recruited elite talent at 3 different schools, not in one continuous run at the same school.
If you add in the two years after Saban was at MSU and LSU, and the two years after Carroll left USC... It really shows who left behind more talent, 80 total draftees for Saban, including 22 first rounders, to Carroll's 64 and 15 first rounders. I'll admit that Saban, between the three schools, has coached 16 seasons now to Carroll's 9 at USC. IMO, however, it's a more telling a sign of how good a recruiter you are when you continue to get elite talent no matter what school, let alone what 3, you've coached at.
