Well they did a lot of damage to the league by having 2 bad lockouts in the last 2 years.

Yup... I can't feel any sympathy for hockey players or the teams/ownership right now. The big elephant in the room for the city of Columbus especially is that since All-Star weekend is now cancelled... the city has lost out on potential revenues of around $10 million just from that weekend alone... plus missing out on about half the season.... and of course right after the city voted to bailout the franchise with all that taxpayer money... shameless.

Hockey is a great game and "should" be a 1st tier sport like basketball or baseball but they have done so much damage to that league its closer to the WNBA than the NBA.

Last year finally turned me into a Full time fan. Then this lockout bull shit when all NHL players did was tell other leagues locked out to hurry and deal. This league has half a season to keep me interested

Well I see some of the blame can be placed on the players but put a majority of it on Bettman! He keeps putting hockey teams in cities that don't have a strong following. Sorry the Hartford Whalers should of never been moved. Winnipeg should of never lost their team to Phoenix. There's not a reason Cali needs 3 teams and Florida needs 2. I am all for the revenues sharing but I don't its fair for teams like Detroit, Chicago, or Montreal that sellout a majority of their seats.

Bettman is the only common denominator over the last 20 years. Players, coaches, union officials, have all come and go but this jackass has been there for a long time. They've had what, 3 or 4 lockouts under his leadership, plus about half the league is in such weak markets that they can't turn a profit? It's time for him to go.
