Quote:
The battle between Ohio State and Michigan isn’t just a one-day war, even when it comes to someone who is currently committed to another school.
Kenny Lacy (Phoenix/Mountain Pointe) was offered by Wolverines offensive line coach Darrell Funk on Tuesday.
In turn, Buckeyes offensive line coach Ed Warinner put in an offer for the big tackle on Thursday.
The offer is one the 6-foot-5, 260-pound Lacy -- a current UCLA pledge -- doesn’t take lightly.
“It’s a big offer,” Lacy said. “Ohio State is a big program, just like Michigan. I’m definitely interested in Ohio State, so I’m going to talk to my parents about it to see about [making an official visit].”
The three-star Lacy committed to the Bruins back on Sept. 10 after he saw UCLA knock off Nebraska. In doing so, he became the school’s 12th pledge at the time.
Now, Lacy has an official visit scheduled for Kansas State on Dec. 7, and will then travel to Michigan for an official visit on Dec. 14.
Not that anyone should read much into either trip.
“I’m committed to UCLA right now,” Lacy said. “I’m not going to jump into anything right this second.”

OT Kenny Lacy plans OSU official visit - On The Trail Blog - ESPN
Quote:
If there’s a spot for an offensive lineman in Ohio State’s 2013 recruiting class, it’s pretty evident who the Buckeyes are going after if it’s not David Dawson (Detroit/Cass Tech).
It became clearer today when UCLA commit Kenny Lacy (Phoenix/Mountain Pointe) scheduled an official visit.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle was floored by Ohio State’s interest on Nov. 29, saying it was a big offer.
“Ohio State is a big program, just like Michigan,” said Lacy, who also has an offer from the Wolverines. “I’m definitely interested in Ohio State, so I’m going to talk to my parents about it to see about making an official visit.”
That date is now set, as Lacy will be making an official visit to Ohio’s state capital Jan. 11. Pride coach Norris Vaughan confirmed the date in a phone conversation this morning.
Lacy will be coming on a weekend loaded with recruits as running back Cornelius Elder (Nashville, Tenn./The Ensworth School), wide receiver Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) linebacker James Hearns (Tallahassee, Fla./Lincoln) and athlete Ryan Timmons (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County) are scheduled to be on campus, too.
Ohio State pledges Marcus Baugh (Riverside, Calif./John W. North), Johnny Townsend (Orlando, Fla./Boone) and Jalin Marshall (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) will be taking official visits as well.
Lacy is scheduled to make an official visit to Michigan this weekend.

Sweet Lord you are some kind of special. How many times does it have to be said that star ratings mean didly squat?

If you don't play here, it's because you're not good enough. It's not because we're holding you back. We're going to recruit the kind of player where we want them on the field right now. That's the approach we took at Florida, and it's the approach we're going to take here.

The two underclassmen that are possible first round picks (Roby and Hankins) were 3 stars.
Our former five star that is a senior (Sabino) probaly not gonna be drafted.
Stop posting ignorant crap, Code!
