This was on ESPN insider board this morning....

"This is a very real possibility," Matt Hayes of the Sporting News wrote. He wants back in, and his NCAA show-cause sanctions aren?t the kind that will impact the program. Think future, Tennessee. The guy can flat out coach. He can recruit, he can build an elite staff, he knows what it takes to build a champion."

The show-clause could certainly impact the program if it can't provide sufficient reason why Tressel is needed to help their program, or the coach is eventually hired and any NCAA violations would be treated as severe.

A Jim Tressel hire could be seen as desperate. But Tennessee may have reached that point
