The unfortunate thing is a few of the unions had their people go back to work while one held out. Epic fail losing the jobs of the employees you're supposed to help. God Bless Indiana and being a Right To Work State!!!

i worked in a union when i was a working construction. it only took me 2 years to realize that unions just prey on their members and honestly do nothing to help anyone. i remember after 9/11 we hit hard times and one of the top union reps kept telling us to hang in there. in the mean time he rolls up in his brand new escalade.

First off, this company was over a billion dollars in debt, and less than 20% of that was owed to employees (back pay, pensions, etc). Secondly, those guys only make $10-$14 an hour. Third, this is the second time in a decade that Hostess has gone bankrupt, it's been mismanaged for years. Finally, these execs are getting paid exorbitant amounts, even in bankruptcy (I heard somewhere in the neighborhood of $130,000 a week). Go ahead though, keep blaming the unions, that just what the CEOs want you to think.

Unions and regulations are the downfall of this country. If I owned a company I would try to move a country with a more favorable corporate tax rate like Ireland. I do laugh when people in this country want companies to "pay their fair share" and increase regulations and get all hot and bothered when their jobs get "outsourced". The decision makers can change the rules of the game, just don't expect the corporations to play ball.
