Looking to buy a shotgun
Alright, all you gun owners out there. I've decided it's time to buy a shotgun so I can protect my family. I've been putting this off for a while because it's a serious decision that I didn't want to take lightly.
Anyway, do you think it's possible that I could snag a reliable used 12 gauge for around $150-200 somewhere? Where might I find something like that? Do gun stores have a used section?
Has anyone ever been to the Bill Goodman gun and knife show at Hara Arena? Any good stuff there? I think they have one this weekend actually.
What are your recommendations? I'm not a hunter, though I wouldn't be opposed to trying my hand at it. I'm mostly looking for something that can give me a nice blast 2 so I can keep home invaders away from my wife and kids. Thoughts?

You don't buy a shotgun to protect your family you redneck...
Get a glock or even a revolver...

If you want a scatter, without all the extra, try a Taurus judge. It will scatter a group of people rather than just one or two. I think they have a sell going on at outfitters till DEC. 21:

I figured the advantage of a shotgun over a handgun would be the scatter so you don't have to have perfect aim in the moment. I'll check out that Taurus Judge though.
What's the advantage of a hand gun over a 12 gauge?
