It’s by default.

They better enjoy it while they can. I think going forward Ohio State and scUM (maybe not next year) will consistently be in the Top 10. USC and ND is on it’s way back up and will keep a top 10 team. Oregon will be there as long as Chip is there. Then you have FSU, Texas, Oklahoma, and the surprise sleepers (Kansas State.)

The SEC having four and five teams in the top 10 will be a thing of the past very soon. They will always have two or three there, though

The polls are a joke! Why don't they just rank all the SEC schools!

Ohio State Drops in the ranking's as a result of a VERY POOR LACK LUSTER PERFORMANCE AT PRACTICE this Saturday. The pollster's confirmed their findings by voting the Buckeyes below two SEC power houses Alabama and Georgia. Both the offense and defense just did not show up to play. Attendance for saturday showing was way down. Coach Meyer did not attend the presser and could not be reached for a comment. Signed: AP news paper writer in mississippi who thinks he knows football.

When's the last time the SEC didn't have a team in the top 3?

I think Bama should be the first 1 loss team but not ahead of a unbeaten team...........

Cmon..........look at their schedule.........really haven't played anyone except for LSU.......

Not exactly a great schedule....

What a freakin' break they got this year by not having to play Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina in the regular season.

K state and Oregon have it set as long as they keep playing the way they have...and Florida struggled against ULL, if that was anything other than an sec team they would of dropped out of top 10

I think writers everywhere need to acknowledge that they (Alabama) have one of the easiest schedules of the SEC "power" teams... They barely beat LSU, the toughest team they have to play this year, and they lost to A&M, a team that most writer's say they should've handled easily... I wouldn't mind to see Georgia win out and get the SEC title this year... in that case, if the SEC does get repped again in the NC game, Georgia probably won't beat K State, Oregon, or ND...

Georgia has had one of the easiest schedules out of the entire SEC. The only tough games they have on their slate were SC and Florida and they split the pair... and honestly Florida shouldn't have lost that game... they beat themselves in that one and gave it to Georgia on a silver platter with all those mistakes.

I can understand the logic of breaking the tie however, merely on the fact that Georgia played a game and played well, whereas we had the bye week. In my Harbin system a team generally drops 3 to 6 spots on a bye week (depending on how far into the season it is) but should they keep winning they climb right back up the next week.

No one is stopping Oregon this year. Might slow them down, but Jesus H. their offense is absurd.
