Was that even a legit rule or was the ref just making that up? That's ridiculous!!!!

I remember a similar incident in the late 80's - early 90's at Ohio Stadium during the Michigan game I think...

.... I believe it was early 90's Elvis Grbac was the QB for Michigan and Ohio State was paenalized for crowd noise !!! Dumbest Rule EVER IMO , I also recall a Citrus Bowl where Michigan St was playing the Florida Gators and Michigan State was Penalized for excessive crowd noise.
