2012 NBA Playoffs General Discussion
Chris Paul and Lebron James are my favorite players right now... and it there isn't a close third.

I think right now I'd have to say that the Finals will be the Heat and Spurs.....
As of today, I think the Spurs win it all but I'll be rooting for the Heat....

I think that the Spurs are head-and-shoulders the best in the West right now.
But I think that Miami at its best is better than San Antonio at its best... But as we saw last season, Miami isn't always at its best... [cough]LeBron[/cough].
I'll take Miami to take it all.

Later on I'll put up some vB odds to win the title......
You think Miami could beat OKC if that's their match-up?
I'm thinking that they want the older Spurs team as their opponent in the Finals...

I think OKC is a pretty good match-up for Miami, because LeBron has shown that he can keep Durant from touching the ball and because Westbrook and OKC turn the ball over a lot which plays into the Heat's strength.
But if LeBron was to check out offensively again, they would lose big to OKC, San Antonio, LA and Boston.
I'm surprised OKC hasn't taken Dallas by 15 pts in each of their first games. I wonder what OKC will look like against San Antonio and LA. If Durant shoots like he has been, OKC can't get to the finals.

The only thing that OKC is missing is an interior Offensive scoring threat....
By the way,
Harden and Ibaka are boaderline all-stars...
Look at how many blocks per game Ibaka averaged...More than 1 BPG than 2nd place..... NBA Blocks Leaders

Not that they would (or should) do it, but I'd love to see OKC trade Westbrook and Perkins for a ball-handling/game-pace style PG and low-post player. Neither of them need to be superstar-level guys... Like an even trade for Connelly and Mark Gasol.
I don't mean to disvalue Westbrook, but I still think he's the kind of point guard that should have his own team; a la Derrick Rose or Allen Iverson.
I'd also like to see Durant do some more work in the post and get some better percentage looks, but he just doesn't have the strength for it.

2012 NBA playoffs -- Miami Heat's Udonis Haslem suspended one game, Dexter Pittman suspended three games - ESPN
Both well deserved, but I still love what Haslem did.
Haslem's hard foul (slugging) ensures that Wade won't take a hit like that for the rest of the playoffs. Not just because other players will fear Haslem, but because referees will be on the lookout so things don't get out of hand again.
