Ohio State Offers 2014 New England Duo
By Alex Kline
The class of 2014 is stacked with athletic specimens. Two of which happen to live in Massachusetts and attend prep school in New Hampshire. Both have caught the attention of Thad Matta and many other coaches.
In the span of one week, Ohio State offered Noah Vonleh and Wayne Selden – two of the top sophomores in the country.
Vonleh, a 2014 6-foot-7 forward from New Hampton, is ranked in the top-10 nationally and is having a great season under head coach Pete Hutchins. With a long wingspan and the ability to play all over on the court, he has acclimated himself as an elite player who still has a lot of room to improve. Vonleh has had numerous big games this year as he is averaging a double-double this season.
According to his AAU coach Vin pastore of Mass Rivals, Vonleh has offers from, “Boston College, Syracuse, Kansas, Pittsburgh, Providence, Maryland, UConn, Georgetown, Auburn, Arizona, Marquette, Florida, UCLA, Georgia Tech and Ohio State.” To add to that, Pastore also says North Carolina is demonstrating significant interest in Vonleh.

Vonleh Awaiting Offer....................The North Carolina staff made it a priority to evaluate and be seen watching its top targets during the first evaluation weekend. Included in that group of top targets is New Hampton (N.H.) Prep sophomore standout Noah Vonleh.

Noah Vonleh: After settling for too many jumpers early, the No. 3 player in the class of 2014 came up huge when it mattered most in leading his team to an overtime championship win. All night long the 6-foot-8 combo forward was a monster on the glass and showed a good skill level with the ability to mix his inside and outside game. It's long been the contention of Rivals.com that Vonleh is at his best when he mixes it up inside first and then goes outside, and Monday night showed that. After getting some crucial buckets thanks to hard work on the offensive glass, Vonleh stepped out and confidently drained a game-winning three to finish with 25 points and 16 rebounds.
