He definitely played. So did Diesel Washington and Noah Spence. Interior guys just make a little less noise, hence why Noah got all the attention

A lot of our Freshman on defense saw plenty of meaningful pt this year, while Pittman recording no stats and as such I'm having a hard time tracking down how many games he played in, Spence (11 gms), Washington (10), Jamal Marcus (11), David Perkins (9), Joshua Perry (10), Tommy Schutt (10) and Cam Williams (10) all played in at least 9 games. Devan Bogard(7), Najee Murray and Armani Reeves (5 each) also saw some decent playing time. Those 10 freshman combined for 55 total tackles, 4 sacks, and 4.5 tackles for loss, all coming off of the bench. While it will be a notable difference with Big Hank, Simon and Williams gone from the line, and Boren and Sabino gone from the second level, these sophomores have plenty of promise, have solid meaningful PT under their belts, and are hungry to prove they deserve to be starters for the silver bullets. I think if anything, we'll actually see an improved defense this season despite losing 7 starters to graduation and the draft.
And we've got some explosive, versatile talent coming in on defense in this year's class to add into the mix.

All i keep thinking about is the offensive line in 2014......I keep seeing the studs Meyer brings in on defense and that is the least of my worries.
