Good! He had his day in court. I'm all for due process, but in his case, the only kind of slip up that might get him a re-trial or an appeal would have to be a minor technicality that would not be significant enough to overturn the weight of evidence against him. This would just be a waste of tax payer dollars. If he was on death row, I'd say give him all the appeals he wants because I loathe the idea of executing the innocent and would like to avoid it at all costs, but he's not. Let him rot in jail!
The only way I could see him deserving a re-trial is if there was some kind of extreme prosecutorial misconduct of some kind. The interference of the NCAA might pose a problem, but I doubt it will carry much weight.
