Update.........

Quote:
Contrary to earlier speculation by his agent, injury-riddled center Greg Oden won’t return to the NBA this season. The former OSU standout told the Big Ten Network last week that he will take the year off, even though he misses playing the game.

“I sit and watch (Ohio State) practice every day, and I just want to go out there and play and show them some things. It is tough to stay off (the court) when you know you can do some things,” he said in an interview during Ohio State’s game against Northern Kentucky.

Oden turns 25 in January and knows that if his knees ever stay healthy, he still could have a long career as an NBA center.

“I’ve got to think positive,” he said. “I’ve got to get healthy first. Once that happens, I’ll get out there and definitely give it another try. I’ll see what I can do.”

Oden also said the current Buckeyes need more from his old position if they’re going to compete for a fourth straight Big Ten championship.

“They need to do something offensively on the inside more before they can start beating the Big Ten,” he said. “I think that was the problem (in the loss) against Duke.”

Update........

Quote:
A report that former Ohio State star Greg Oden might sign with the Miami Heat soon and begin rehab on his oft-injured knees there was refuted in several news outlets, including by Oden’s agent, Mike Conley Sr., in the Miami Herald.

Conley told the Herald that the Heat “never asked about Greg” and he had just spoken with the team this week. He called the ESPN.com report “extreme.”

“They have never made a single call about him,” Conley said. “It’s strange this story [comes out] because I spoke to them this week about Daequan Cook before he signed with Chicago. They never asked about Greg.”

Conley said that he’s “100 percent certain” that OIden will play in the NBA next season.

I wish him all the luck in the world. I would love to see him on any of these teams.

Sullinger and Oden on the court at the same time would be a thing to see. Of course, a front-court of Oden-Bosh-James could be pretty nasty as well.

I think I'd rather see Oden on the Heat than see Cleveland spend 4 million on him..

Either team would be great though...

I wish he could find a way to just stay healthy.
