i think the big ten thought this was the one year they were going to walk into ohio and clean house. it was starting to look like that but when meyer arrived the recruiting picture completely changed. i remember sitting at a bar during the summer and a michigan and ND fan were trying to tell me we were done. that we would be never be the same and that it would take years to repair the damage. once i threw in the fact that if meyer becomes the coach at ohio state every thing changes. from that point on the conversation was totally different. the fans and coaches of these teams felt that way. they honestly thought we were going to have an easier time recruiting and winning in the big 10. meyer will change everything in the big 10. how everyone recruits and how the game is played in the league. the real question is how long are the other teams going to sit back and take it or try to adapt to there new surroundings. if anything this couldn't happen at a better time and it will make this conference better.

Notre Dame fans shouldn't be telling a fan of another team that they're done.

Interesting point made by Dave Biddle on twitter today about the "gentleman's agreement".
Said that James Laurinaitis originally committed to Minnesota, and Tressel went in and swooped him away from them.

Lauranaitis opened up his recruitment, not so much Tressel came in and swooped him away. Notre Dame was after Lauranaitis among a few other B1G schools.

Gordon Gee talks to Lantern about Bret Bielema
"We hired the best coach and we went out and got the best kids so get a life," Gee told the Lantern of Bielema's criticisms.
