Pardon me for saying it, but momma seems like a c---. Really? Your son just made the biggest decision of his life thus far and you're telling him "Boy, you picked wrong.. Mmm Hmm... Dumba$$." On National TV no less... great parenting, there mom, just take all the happiness out of your son's decision. Let the boy live his life and support him through it... not try to run it for him.

Chris Spielman's dad was pretty open about what he would do if his son chose Michigan...

Yeah, but in the SEC, they're supposed to care about the conference first., team second?
Plus, at the end of the day... nothing comes close to the hatred that exists between us and tSUN.
Obviously Collins isn't too concerned about the rivalry... he just wants to play where he thinks will be best for him...

Not to judge, but momma seems like it's all about her. I'm sure LSU boosters will start writing bigger checks in order to get her son to re-consider.

The SEC sucks because rivalries don't exist. Even Auburn/Alabama is WEAK at best. I usually will go on SEC fan boards when Ohio State has an upcoming game and Florida and LSU for example had no idea who their rival was. One thing that makes football great is long standing rivalries. I hate Michigan soooo freaking much if I even see Michigan gear in a store, I'll hide it or cover it up with something else

I relocate it to the closest waste receptacle, be it a trash can, toilet, or urinal, lol. Usually a trash can, but every now and then the gods bless me with the opportunity to add a little extra yellow to that M

Couldn't agree more. You know SEC rivalries are garbage when their fans start chanting "SEC SEC" after every non-conference game or bowl game. A kid on the team I coached last summer liked Bama because his dad was from Alabama and graduated from there in 1984. His dad and I would talk college football all the time and he told me that Bama actually took Tennessee more serious than Auburn back in the day. And speaking of Auburn, their game against Georgia is called The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. But then there's that annual game between UGA and UF.
Teams like Florida don't have a true in conference rival. Neither does South Carolina. SC's biggest rival is Clemson, an ACC team. Florida has their annual game against Florida State, but my friends from Florida say FSU/Miami is the bigger rivalry. FSU and Miami respect each other and share hate towards UF.
I laugh everytime when people say the Iron Bowl is the biggest rivalry on the lone fact that their fans hate each other more than anyone else. That may be true, but I don't think that earns the title as the best rivalry. Other than last season, when was the last time the Iron Bowl had any national relevance or national implications?
The Game is the best rivalry b/c of several reasons. All-Americans, more conference championships decided by the winner of that game, Heisman winners, the 10 year war, recruiting wars, more national attention, so on and so on.
