TP even stated in his announcement that he wants to help JT "push us over the top" to win another NC. Many recruits may see it that way too.

Cretin-Derham Hall's Seantrel Henderson: Everyone's No. 1
By JOHN MILLEA, Star Tribune
Last update: August 26, 2009 - 10:13 AM
Seantrel Henderson is a great big guy who is known for accomplishing great things, big things, sooner than most other football players.
He received his first full-ride scholarship offers -- from Minnesota and Notre Dame -- before he had ever worn a varsity uniform at Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul. They arrived when he was a ninth-grader.
He was named the nation's No. 1 recruit in the class of 2010 way back in 2008, before his junior season.
Heck, he was even born a month early.
The senior offensive tackle -- who has been in the starting lineup at one of Minnesota's football powerhouses since the beginning of his sophomore year -- stands on the precipice of even bigger, greater things: a college career at the university of his choice and an expected NFL future.
If that all sounds a bit surreal, you know how Henderson feels.
"I never thought I would be named the No. 1 player in the country," he said. "I've seen a whole bunch of guys and thought, 'Oh man, I'm pretty sure he's a better athlete than me.' It's an honor."

No. 4 -- OL Seantrel Henderson (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham)
Henderson's father says his son will make official visits to Oklahoma, Ohio State, USC, Florida and Notre Dame. He is also considering several other schools including Minnesota, but does not feel he needs to make an official visit with the Gophers. Henderson has not tipped his hand at all as to who he might be favoring. However, the new stadium is going to help Tim Brewster's recruiting, and if the Gophers continue their rebound on the field this season, I think Henderson stays close to home.
Prediction: Minnesota

That would give Minnesota an elite pairing of tackles with Henderson and Gjere (sp?), but that's if Henderson decides to stick it with Minnesota.

I'd be really surprised if he went to Minnesota. Top rated recruit nationally + Minnesota doesn't mix.

Seantrel Henderson, ranked by ESPN's Scouts Inc. as the fourth-best player in the country in the Class of 2010, and the top offensive tackle overall, will begin to take his official visits this weekend. The 6-foot-7, 295-pound Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.) standout's first stop will be Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio-State-USC game.
"The choice will ultimately be up to Seantrel, but we're trying our best to make sure he gets the best experience," said Sean Henderson, Seantrel's father. Henderson will be at Notre Dame on Oct. 17th for the USC game, and is looking to visit the Trojans the weekend of Nov. 28th. Oklahoma and Florida will also receive two of Henderson's coveted five official trips.

Well he's coming to a game that features two of his favorites at this point. We need to make an impression either by dominating or showing that we need him.

Seantrel Henderson Diary
Pioneer Press
Updated: 09/10/2009 11:22:43 PM CDT
Editor's note: Cretin-Derham Hall's Seantrel Henderson, a 6-foot-8, 337-pound offensive lineman, is the No. 1-ranked college recruit in the country. He will write a weekly diary for the Pioneer Press during the high school football season. He won't reveal his college choice until signing day in February. In today's installment, as told to Pioneer Press reporter Tim Leighton, Henderson talks about the Raiders' season-opening victory over Forest Lake, his team's game against White Bear Lake in Week 2 and his first official recruiting visit.
It is going to be a busy weekend with a lot of emotions.
Today, we play against White Bear Lake, a team that is tough and likes to run the ball. (The Bears are the only team to beat Cretin-Derham Hall in conference play, and that was four years ago, when the Raiders were in their first season in the Suburban East.)
After that game, I have to shift my focus to Ohio State, where I will be going early on Saturday. I've never taken a recruiting trip before, so I don't really know what to expect. I am nervous and excited at the same time.
I will be watching Ohio State play USC, another one of the schools on my list of final choices. One of the reasons I picked this date to go to Ohio State was to watch both teams play. Even though it is my official visit to Ohio State, I will keep one eye on USC and watch what they are doing.
I heard this week from Ohio State, USC, Michigan and Oklahoma. It is tough sometimes to tell a school you aren't really interested, but I also tell them that I am still thinking about it, too.
I felt pretty comfortable on both sides of the ball in our game against Forest Lake. We have some things to clean up, but we should be OK.

It miffs me a bit that he'll be keeping a close eye on USC during this game, after all he'll have plenty of opportunities to look at USC at 2 of his other official visits that feature USC as one of the teams...

Henderson: ‘I could definitely see myself out there.’.................Henderson called the visit "great" and loved it. Henderson's father was impressed with the staff and facilities. Homerun.
