Injury report: CB Chekwa has setback

A day after practicing "limited," rookie cornerback Chimdi Chekwa seemingly had a setback with his strained hamstring and did not practice at all on Thursday.

Not having Chekwa, though, would be an especially tough blow for the Raiders' already-banged up secondary.

"Obviously something is not as well as it needs to be but we'll see where we can get him at (Friday)," Jackson said of Chekwa. "It didn't go well yesterday, so I wanted to make sure we kept him down and see where we can get him at tomorrow, see where he is.

"I think he's got a chance. He has a chance to be O.K."

Chekwa said he first strained the hamstring in punt coverage against the Jets.

"Once you hurt it, you've got to be careful with it. You never know. You really got to pay attention to it. Just trying to see what I can do.

"It irritated me a little bit (against the Patriots) but I've been able to play with it and wrap it up. It didn't bother me too much."
