RB Chris "Beanie" Wells
Per a very reliable source, Coach Jim Tressel Told Chris "Beanie" Wells, at a team banquet, that it would not be a smart choice for Beanie to come back for his senior season. I have to say that I agree completely with JT on this one, though I'd love to see Beanie try and win the Heisman next year.
I think we have to face the reality that Beanie can't risk more injury and that he is deffinately already looking like a high draft pick in the NFL.
IMO, it would be in Chris Wells's best interest to head for the draft. I am extremely confident in all of the great backs we have (and the ones coming in). Best of luck with whatever Beanie does!

Bummer but it was expected and it's the right move for Beanie. Maybe he'll have a change of heart and want to come back

I know I've said this for awhile now but I'll be more than willing to eat crow if wrong but Beanie is staying. He's said it all through his high school years that he WILL get his degree before he ever gets drafted for the NFL.

I still hope he stays, but after all the people saying he will be gone I'm convinced he is.
Plus the whole thing about the NFL lowering rookie contracts after the 2009 draft.

I have to believe he is entering the draft.......but we can dream and hope he does return........his injuries and the amount of hits........he is a legit top5 pick........

I think beanie can be a solid NFL back. I have watched a few games throughout the season where he impressed me but I think the only knock on him is his injuries which are a problem but not a huge problem.

I don't get the injury knock. How many games in his career has he missed due to injury?

I don't think there is an injury knock on him, but he has had numerous injuries in his 3 years at tOSU.......wrist, ankle, foot.....etc..........positive thing is he did not miss any games......the NFL will look at that.....
