He is a smart QB but I think his arm is shot.

My man crush......Jim Tressel.

He needs a new haircut. He always looks goofy without a helmet on.

I think his arm has always been shot in terms of throwing it dep...but he's accurate and better than anyone we already had on the roster before he signed....

We just need a smart QB who can take care of the ball & not make stupid mistakes that cost us wins in close games...kinda like Jay Fiedler but slightly better and much more man crush-on-able...LOL!

I have a JT & Beanie Wells & Laurinaitis and Jenkins man crush too but that goes without saying!!!

It's an improvement for the Dolphins. I still don't know how effective their passing game will be though...

It's a temporary fix (I hope) b/c the 2009 NFL Draft looks like it could be loaded with several awesome QB's so all I have to say is Miami better draft a QB with their #1....screw Henne, Beck, McCown....Pennington signed 2 years so next year he can groom the new guy for 2010...we haven't had a QB since 1999 for pete's sake, LOL!

Man crush on Pennington? I have heard everything now. IMO Pennington is nothing more than a fodder until either Beck or Henne is ready. The problem is he CAN't stretch the field. DB's don't have to worry about being beat deep because Pennington can't throw the ball deep. He may manage the game well but I don't see the fins winning more than 4 games this season.

Define deep?

If he can throw it 25-40 yards that's enough....obviously he's not going to be throwing it 50-75 yards but a 30 yard pass can easily result in a 75+ yard TD

I've always liked him....& in case you didn't know he's the most accurate passer in NFL history and he has the fewest INT's of any QB inside the red zone EVER!

Works for me for 2008 and maybe part of 2009 until our 2009 #1 QB draft pick is ready...like I said screw Henne, Beck & McCown...they'll never be quality QB starters
