I think this move could make the Heat the favorites to win the NBA Championship.
If they could sign K-Mart, that would push them past OKC and Chicago IMO...

Do you think he'd be okay with coming off the bench? I don't see him in the starting line-up.
Unless they're running small, and move him or Bosh to the 5.
I'd actually like to see Bosh lead the second unit.

The Ostrich would be good on the 2nd unit since he's played better without Wade but I think K-Mart would be the one to come off of the bench.
The Heat also have Haslem, who is a very similar player as K-Mart IMO...
There's not many really good true Centers in the league right now so playing a 2 PF line-up is do-able but they would have to get favorable matchups in the playoffs to win it all IMO.

The only thing I could see holding this up is the kind of salary Martin can demand... the Heat are already shelling out around $73.5 million a year..., putting them already about $3.5 million into the luxury tax range... the lower SFs/PFs or Cs (SF James Jones $1.5 Mil, PF Juwan Howard $854,389, C Mickell Gladness $473,604, or C Dexter Pittman $762,195) they can and would get rid off to make roster space for K-Mart make a small percentage what Martin could ask for.
For financial reasons, I don't see this one happening... there's a lot of other teams out there competitive enough to draw his attention and can much more easily afford to fit him into cap room like the Thunder ($15.3 Mil), the Clippers ($5.9 Mil), the Pacers ($26.5 Mil), the 76ers ($4.5 Mil), the Magic ($3.1 Mil plus the possibility of Howard in a trade), the Jazz ($12.7 Mil), the Spurs ($12.6 Mil), and the Blazers ($7.5 Mil)...

Clippers sign Kenyon Martin to 1-year deal
Does this make the Clippers the favorite to win the title?
They seem to have all of the pieces...
Chris Paul
Chauncy Billups
Mo Williams
Randy Foye
Caron Butler
Kenyon Martin
DeAndre Jordan
Blake Griffin

Maybe before Big-Shot Billups went down
OKC is still the one to beast out west IMO.

Billups going down is a really tough break..
I stayed up last night and watched OKC beat Golden State last night on NBA TV....
OKC looked really good, as did Dauquan Cook...
Monté Ellis had a shot to win the game that would've given him 51 points for the game. He missed the tough buzzer beater, but finished with 48 points.
Ellis is one of my all-time favorite players. He needs to get traded to the Lakers for Bynum....
Ellis, Kobe, and Gasol could make a run...

I don't think I've watched a game involving Golden State all the way through... ever. Same with Toronto maybe.
They just don't get a lot of play I guess.
OKC gives up some points don't they? Of the three teams I think are the best; OKC, Miami and Chicago, I don't think any of these teams plays a great playoff style. Chicago and Miami are limited in the half-court offense (especially if Rose is locked-up), and OKC's defense is shaky.
