Who’s hot? Turner
NBA insider Chad Ford of ESPN.com published a list this week of who was hot and who was not during the first week of the NCAA Tournament. Evan Turner made his list of 11 who helped their stock. What Ford wrote:
Turner's team may have been ousted in the first round, but it wasn't his fault. He had a spectacular game for the Buckeyes, scoring 28 points, grabbing 9 boards and dishing out 8 assists. The performance confirmed the opinion of a number of trusted scouts who feel Turner is the most underrated player in the draft.
"He's so solid in so many areas of the game," one veteran scout said. "He needs to improve his perimeter shot, but the rest of the package is there."
Turner is currently projected to go somewhere between the late lottery and the middle of the first round. However, after the Buckeyes lost, he said he's returning to Ohio State for his junior season. But we'll see if that holds true. In the past, players often say similar things when their team is ousted from the tournament, only to reverse course after exploring their draft options more fully.

Yeah, this will be interesting to see if he actually stays. I think he will but it will be hard to pass up the money.
What's the deadline to declare for the draft?

Turner ‘adamant’ that he’s returning
Evan Turner has spent this week at home in Chicago “just getting a breather from a long season . . . relaxing with family and friends,” his mother, Iris James, said today.
“When we touch on the subject, he’s said he’s going back.”
“The subject” is whether the Ohio State sophomore should enter his name in the NBA draft, if only to get a better idea of his standing with NBA teams. He could always withdraw it before the June 15 deadline and not forfeit any of his college eligibility.
The deadline for early entry in the draft is April 26.
“He does have some time to (consider) that,” James acknowledged.
James said that family members and some of Turner’s former coaches in Chicago have assisted her with her “homework” on her son’s would-be standing in the draft. She said they have been told the same as has been reported on some mock drafts online, that Turner is a mid- to late first-round choice.

Obviously, things can change, but I think he stays for his junior year.
