PF Kosta Koufos
Very nice article regarding him playing on the greek under 18 national team in the fiba tournament. Evidently he is lighting it up. Had 30 points today and 13 rebounds. He is gonna be a stud. Only thing that kinda sucks is the part where he says ill play my one year and see how it goes. I think we are gonna have to get used to guys leaving quickly.

I heard on the local sports talk radio this morning as I was driving in to work that Koufos actually considered staying in Greece for next year to play professionally there after his successful stint on their national team. But thankfully he did not reneg on his tOSU commitment and is still planning on coming this season.
This just caught me by surprised as I have not heard about it before...

I had heard that as well
But I am glad he is coming over here to Tosu instead of staying in Greece! It is good to see our Bball team drawing international talent, over foriegn national teams! And with Thad I look for that to keep happening!

I'm glad to see him also because we'll need more big guys in our line up.

Yea he is really big into the whole greece thing. I think he is making the right decision though. He will probaly only be here a year before he goes to the nba but we will take him. I think playing in greece would only hurt his stock in the NBA. Plus he has to sign a contract there. Here he can leave after a year which he will probaly do.

What could have been...Oden, Koufos, Conley, Cook, Butler, (the great SF we recruited that can shoot lights out) and co. on the same team. That's just scary.

That would be just scary. There would be no way we would not win a national championship.

Kosta Koufos will enter draft
According to a thread on Rivals.com, reports from insiders say that Koufos is almost 100% leaving. Apparently he has the perfect style for European basketball and is leaving to play there instead of the NBA or staying at tOSU.
