Perhaps the only good from this game was center Byron Mullens’ successful debut as the starting center. Mullens had another career-high in scoring with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
Mullens is expanding his offensive game quickly. Almost exclusively a jump shooter when he was acquired from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the preseason, he’s now rolling to the rim for layups or dunking alley-oop passes.
Mullens didn’t know he’d replace Gana Diop as the starter until shootaround Thursday morning.
“I’d gotten used to watching (from the bench) to see how the game is flowing. Now I have to start that flow,’’ said Mullens. “It was exciting; the first time I’ve started a game since the (development league) and the D-League doesn’t really count.’’

I would have given you a ride out of Columbus...........that is why you commit to a school and not a coach........

This dork should be a Sr right for the Bucks. With him at Center and Sully at PF, we'd be an even more dominant college team.

Update...........
Quote:
Byron Mullens had 17 points and five rebounds in 27 minutes as the Bobcats fell in Chicago on Saturday.
Mullens was coming off a few quiet, single-digit scoring nights, but he found his groove against the short-handed Bulls. He's getting plenty of touches in a thin frontcourt and deserves to be owned in all formats, and started in most.

Update......
Quote:
Former Ohio State men’s basketball player Byron Mullens hopes to compete for Great Britain at the Olympic Games in London this summer.
The website MVP247.com reported that Mullens, from Canal Winchester, is eligible because his mother is from Middlesex, England, and it indicated that he is expected to be in camp when coach Chris Finch’s squad begins camp in Houston in June.
The website also reported that Indiana Pacers guard Darren Collison and Memphis Grizzlies forward Dante Cunningham have been ruled ineligible after an investigation by British basketball officials into their ancestral ties failed to prove their case for citizenship.

Brandon Castel @BCastOZone
Something I never thought I would type: BJ Mullens had 31pts, 14 reb in an NBA game last night vs. the Bucks.

Mullens went 14-23 from the floor, had 9 offensive rebounds, 2 blocks and even hit a three in a 95-90 loss to MIL.
