Great trade, we got rid of Lohse who was in his contract year for a young pitcher who is almost major league ready. Fantastic.
I can't wait to see Cueto tonight on FSN!

Another pitcher i'm starting like is Burton. I'd like to see him eventually move into a set-up role for Cordero. Dump Weathers already! And yes I like Maloney too.
.....it's slowly starting to come together for the Reds!

Probably not until next season, if he comes up this season it will be due to injuries.
Our starting 5 before the season ends should be set at
Harang
Cueto
Arroyo
Volquez
Bailey
It's impossible to split up all of the fastball throwers, but it's best to keep the most identical apart within Cueto and Volquez.

Burton is awesome, I was worried because of his poor performance in spring training and in his first outing, but it's all come together and he's playing like he was last year. He's a solid kid and I really wouldn't mind us dumping Weathers after the season.
He was awesome last year, but he's becoming the new Mike Stanton of this team, he's just giving up runs every time he comes in. It's rather upsetting, but we still have an obvious upgrade in our PEN over last years with Mercker, Lincoln, Cordero, and then the kid who we had later in last year Burton. We actually have a very solid bullpen.
If Weathers can get his stuff back on track we should be good to go.

Bats come alive last night! Fogg looked decent too.

Harang with a solid outing, Reds take the series with 2/3.
Encarnacion might be getting hot, he was 2-3 with a HR.

A big NL Central win! Harangatang came through and pitched well. I like seeing the Pirates this weekend after starting off with 3 tough teams in a row.

Team got shut out Friday against the Pirates, the Freaking PIRATES!
This offense can NOT hit left handers, the team shows flashes of something amazing and then a kid like Volquez pitches 5(or 6) scoreless innings and this team can't put a 1 on the board.
I think we had somewhere around 16 people Left on base, that's absolutely awful..

Swept. That's pathetic. We've won every series so far this year against good teams, then we get swept by freakin Pittsburgh. It's a funny game isn't it?
