I know there are threads on both of these guys, but I will confess, I know very little about their play. Everyone has these two as OSU locks, so I really have done any digging or watched any of their film. If you know anything about them feel free to chime in on why you like them, or what they bring to the table. Any info is appreciated. And here's to hoping we land Dixon today!
Lattimore has a ton of potential. One of those guys who could make it to the NFL as a WR or CB. He wants to play CB at the next level. Reminds me a lot of Justin Gilbert, All-American CB from Oklahoma State. Smith is a solid Safety prospect. Some recruiting guys have him rated in the 250-300 range, nationally. I've seen one who has him as high as the 133rd be player in the country. To me, he's one of those guys who will redshirt and then probably start as a RS Jr and RS Sr, similar to an Anderson Russell.
Nice comparisons Luda... Both are concensus 4-stars, with Lattimore possibly heading to a 5-star from atleast one of the reccuiting sites... Lattimore has the CJ Barnett HS from but much more athletic. Barnett came in as a CB, but bulked up to Safety. Smith is commonly compared to Jermale Hines. I'm not sure if that's just because of the Glenville connection or not. To me, he's more of a Tyler Moeller (pre-head injury) type of player that can fly all over they field and make big hits/plays... Smith was the best player overall in the state championship game last weekend...
Lattimore is a capricorn, Smith is a Libra. Lattimore likes mexican food for the most part, Smith is on the paleo diet. They both like to go to the movies and enjoy the occasional rap music.
And Lattimore holds offers from "all the biggies" while Smith hold offers from "Bama, the weenies, and Tennessee~~~~" "OY,VEY
Lattimore and Smith are both 4 star prospects and very good athletes who play on both sides of the ball.... Lattimore IMO will be a corner at OSU..........excellent hips. Smith will be a safety at OSU and I believe is vastly underrated. Both are quality kids who will continue the Glenville pipeline......
