Why is it so impossible for us to keep good young coaches? It seems like our assistants get poached way too early in their careers every year, only to underperform elsewhere.

If he leaves, Hafley is about to find out what Chris Ash found out at Rutgers... It’s much easier to look like a genius when you have a roster littered with 5* players and a full support staff of coaches, trainers, strength coaches, and GA’s who are just as good and better than you at their respective jobs.

If I’m looking for someone from this staff to take my program over, it’s Kevin Wilson. He is the only coach on this staff that I think could take a struggling program over and win right away.

 

What’s everyone’s confidence level in this game?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t want to play them in the first round. But the more I think about it, the more confident I get. I think 2016 was a fluke and awful coaching from Ohio State. And if you remember, the defense played well. It was the offense that basically spotted them 14 points. Mike Weber was the only true RB to get a carry and he had 5!

We have to control the LOS with our run game. I hope Dobbins has 30+ carries, especially since there is two weeks between this game and the Natty.

 

I went back to 2016 and looked over the first half...if we make our FGs or even extend a drive or two, it's a completely different game. Like you mentioned. Day has to let JK eat. I think we can control LOS on both sides. Fuller, Okudah, and Arnette will have to ball

Anyone that compared these teams to 2016 doesnt know much about football...both programs are completely different from that time.

I'm 50/50 right now. I know everyone is playing Dabo up with the disrespect, but OSU has.been far more disrespected. I also feel like OSU has been tested more and that the three game stretch we just had was a perfect, especially the adversity faced in all three. Clemson is a good team, but they have not be tested, and not because they are so great but because the competition is SO bad.

Clemson is where they are because of beating OSU in Orange Bowl and some shady means ( you'll never convince me a team can make that quick of a shift in 3 years without help). I would like to see OSU end Clemsons run.

Plus I may be at game, so I dont want to make the trip to see a L

No way! The computers have Ohio State #1. If this were the BCS it would be #1 Ohio State vs #2 LSU

 

This game scares the shit outta me. Dabo is the most experienced coach in the playoff, and Clemson has the athletes to go toe to toe with us ... Dabo and Venables with 3 weeks to prep is a scary thought.

 

I’ve watched a few Clemson games and think we can run between the tackles. This will open the passing game. Blitzing the hell out of Lawrence early and often = happy feet. Carman can’t handle Chase Young...the Clemson O-line is going to have their hands full. Nothing like they’ve seen this year. Arnette, Okudah and Fuller can lock down their receivers. Don’t get me wrong, Clemson is good...but beatable. Dabo is a good coach but maybe a little to cocky right now.
