will be the new "Canes" coach,6 years at Temple with a record of 27-34,but last 2 years was 8-4 and 9-4 at a program like that it's a great accomplishment,he must be a winner.

I wonder more about this hire than Florida's. 9-4 is a good thing, but in Golden's 5 seasons, he never won the MAC East.

This is a great hire IMO. Temple thought of eliminating football about 6-10yrs ago. They averaged about 5000 people per game, this guy came in, made the school put some investment behind the program. Recruited well, stayed on track with his vision, and made them into winners! And went to a bowl game last year!

Don't look to winning the MAC as a big thing. It happens. Northern Illinois twice in 5yrs came in as heavy favorites, only to get beat by Akron(05) and Miami a couple of weeks ago!

Golden will hit the ground running as Randy Shannon recruited well. If Golden can sell good kids on Temple, imagine what he could do at Miami!
