Sam Amico has heard its possible Cleveland return in LeBron's future? Irving, Thompson, Lebron and maybe Austin Rivers would be pretty fun to watch. would still need a young C though Now, there is talk that James is less-than-thrilled with certain aspects of the Heat organization. Sources in Miami say that while James still thoroughly enjoys playing alongside fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, he doesn't particularly care for the heavy-handed and disciplined style of team president Pat Riley. James can opt out of his contract at the end of the 2013-14 season, and speculation is he will strongly consider it if Riley remains in his current role. And the team James would be eyeballing most in free agency, say those close to the situation, would be the Cavs
i dont think Lebron really wanted to Leave Cleveland i think he just wanted to team up with Wade and Bosh and Wade wanted no part of Cleveland watching the highlights of the Bulls-Heat game today Wade only had 15 points and Lebron was a ball hog and they showed Wade kinda giving Lebron a F*ck you look near the end
I don't see it happening period. Even if he wanted to come back the city and fans have shunned him, and Gilbert would probably rather burn down the Q and the various other team facilities before letting LeBron back on that team again.
I highly doubt that. Gilbert wants to win more then anything, he would bring back james in heart beat.
too much has happened and has been said, he could go someplace else though. what if the heat won a championship and then he came back to cleveland? im sure that would go over well.
Do you not remember Gilbert's open letter to the fans in which he clearly stated he would do everything possible for Cleveland to win a championship BEFORE LeBron. There is no way Gilbert let's him come back. He's washed his hands of him and has no trust or respect for him as a person anymore. It'll never happen man. Just cause this Sam Amico guy heard a few rumors and wrote an opinion/speculation piece doesn't mean a thing. In fact, all things like this article do are spread bad information (rumor that gets eventually perverted into fact... it's human nature, it happens) which make situations like the Cleveland LBJ ordeal that much more tense. Trust me, when the Heat come into the Q on the 17th... LBJ will still get booed, just as tenaciously.
To put the LBJ hatred / grudge in perspective... Art Modell would be safe to come back to Cleveland now, he's clearly not the most hated man in the city any longer... by a very large margin.
Who cares? Winning=Glory and Money Gilberts not a moron, he knows Lebron would bring him much more money and would make him look even better having a NBA championship callibur team again. you forget Gilbert wrote that in the heat of a moment, the same time people burned Lebron Jerseys and rioted by his house. are people still doing that today? No. so what makes you logically think Gilbert would turn down Lebron? Not to mention it makes Gilbert look horrible, all his player would automatically question his will to build a winner by turning down one of the best players in Basketball and so would every other NBA player, nobody would respect him enough to play for one of his teams. theres a Reason Gilbert wanted to own a casino in Cleveland so bad, its his fallback option if the Cavs dont ever rebuild and he starts to lose money on the team and consideres selling, because of Lebron. and Amico is pretty in touch with alot of very good NBA sources, so if he says it, then there is some smoke to it
Not a chance for various reasons...Gilbert is an overly proud man....i honestly dont think he would consider it
Name the Reasons all turning down LeBron does is make Gilbert look like one of the worst owners in Basketball history, and like you said he's an overly proud man, he wouldnt allow his name to be dragged through the mud like that when his own players see he turned away their chance to win a NBA title and play with Lebron you think thats going to make them want to stay in Cleveland? Hell No when NBA players hit FA you think they wanna play for an owner who could have had Lebron James but was too proud and on top of that, lessen his teams chance to win and be better? Hell No
I thought we have a strict "no politics" policy here. Talking LeBron and Cleveland is along the lines of religion or politics.
Well in that line of thinking I suppose it's doubly good Mr. "Forced to Retire From This Board" got the ban hammer to put an end to this one, huh?
