Play calling might not be that bad if it is simplified. 1-2 reads and go!
Fans are tired due to results; make it easy, gain 4 yards plus per down and fans become happy quick! It is about the results.

It is on the coaches @ this point to recognize where the O is not going and correct it NOW!

The D is excellent, special teams are getting there! Time for the O to pick it up. My opinion is to make it easy on T.P. and the offense. We have Purdue this week and it might be a good idea to try it during first quarter and see what we get.

Our D is going to keep us in the game regardless!

    Go Bucks!

I'll say this: I had a great time at the game yesterday. People need to stop fretting so much and enjoy the game.

I'll probably get blasted, but I'll just say it.

Terrelle Pryor is just not a bright kid. The QB position does require a certain level of cognitive prowess, and I don't think Pryor is smart enough to be the dominant quarterback we want him to be. He's still young and has plenty of time to prove me wrong (I hope he does), but right now it looks like the passing game is way above young Pryor's head.

wow........now Pryor does not have the mental capacity to play the position due to his performance on Saturday...........

How do you explain Pryor leading the conference in passing effeciency last year? I guess a true freshman leading the conference in a stat I view as the most important stat for a quarterback was just a fluke.......

His mistakes are correctable and partly due to a combination of youth and the staff installing a new offense during an ongoing season.............there are going to be growing pains...........but take a good look at the play of the offensive line in this game..............they struggled all day also...........

So, coach Tressel is giving a coach the most important job on his staff due to the fact he has ties to YSU?

    Are you serious?

I will say this about Pryor.............his ongoing progression as a quarterback is not a sprint but a marathon...............there will be ups and downs............do not judge the staff, Pryor or the program on a bad performance...........we won the game by 18 points.............

In order to fully understand what happened with the offense yesterday, you would need to know that the majority of the time we were only sending two receivers out during pass plays.............how successful can that be, so if it looks like TP is locking on his receivers, that is due to the lack of receivers........

We are trying to change the offense during the season, it is a process for the staff along with the offense...........

i said this once and i say this again. the expectations on this kid are too much. the kid is young and it's going to take time for him get him where we want him. the line is improving and i feel he still has shown signs of improvement. some of the passes he threw yesterday were bad reads. you can't expect this kid to be slinging the ball around the field like troy smith did his senior year.

No. This is not just based on this performance. I have been critical of Pryor (fair or not) since we benched Todd.

How do I explain that? Pryor's ability to break a big play with his feat, the best OSU tailback in 15 years, two receivers that currently get decent playing time in the NFL, and a defense that included a Butkus Award winner and a Thorpe award winner... All of these things undeniably take pressure off of the passing game. The running game wore defenses and forced single coverage on the Brians. The defense kept the opposing defense on the field, gave great field position, and even put up points further relieving pressure on the passing game.

Pryor has a strong arm, Pryor has the unmatched ability to scramble, but his development (mentally) in the passing game is below-average. There are a lot of quarterbacks out there with similar, or even less experience than Pryor that have the ability to check down to the 2nd and 3rd receiver, manipulate the coverage with their eyes and pump fakes, and see the play as it develops.

Kellen Moore of Boise State, Matt Barkley of USC, Jacory Harris of Miami, B.J. Daniels of South Florida, Tate Forcier of UM, GJ Kinne of Tulsa, Ryan Mallett of Arkansas, Landry Jones of Oklahoma, Cody Endres of Connecticut, Nick Foles of Arizona, Kirk Cousins of Michigan State... and many more. These are some of the current freshman and sophomores that have higher quarterback ratings than Terrelle Pryor.

Of course I'm not saying that all or even most of these players are better than Pryor, but I think it certainly illustrates that Pryor is behind in terms of development as a quarterback, and yes, even considering his inexperience.

I'm not calling for Pryor's benching either. I don't think that Bauserman is the answer (even though he threw some bombs in the 2008 Spring Game), and I don't think that Shoenhoft(sp?) or Henton would be in better shape if they had stayed. but I do miss Todd Boeckman

Pryor needs to develop as a passer, period, he is a QB, but sometimes he just looks like an 'athlete' instead of the guy that commands the presence in the huddle(how many teams QBs aren't a captain?) as well as being able to read a defense, and make good decisions, I think we all know this, he has the ability in terms of his athleticism, arm strength, and even accuracy, but his mechanics and his decision making as a player are questionable at best.

I don't think him being a leader in the huddle isn't a question. I think he was proving to be a leader as a freshman. For me, him saying that he wouldn't let the seniors down against Illinois and Wisconsin (I believe) last year was proof that he will put the team on his back. Now, he hasn't fully developed the QB skills that will make him a Troy Smith, but as everyone knows he is just a sophomore at this point in time.

Patience is needed for some Ohio State fans.................most have knee jerk reactions every game............changes have been made on offense and will continue to evolve but do not expect to see 50 points per game with a true sophmore quarterback, 3 new wide receivers and 3 new starters on the offensive line and transitioning into a more zone read attack, it will take time.............

I am completely, 100% behind this coaching staff and Pryor..............

This situation reminds me of a few years ago with Troy was progressing as a quaterback except Troy as a true sophmore was returning kicks for Ohio State..........

Anyone want to talk about our outstanding defense or are improvement on special teams........or do we just want to continue to be negative towards an 18 point win..............

Tressel kind of proved his philosophy with this game didn't he. Defense and special teams win games, sometimes literally.

Thoma left them with some short fields on a couple of punts, and Flash dropped another kickoff, but everything else on special teams looked good, and I hope Ray Small continues to prove me wrong.

The defensive line was dominant. Kept Clay in check, and had constant pressure on the quarterback. I know the Wisc O-line is young, but man those are some big boys. This D-line is championship-caliber.

Word, the D-line was balls-to-the-wall. Anyone know how many sacks we had that game? It has to be an absurd number. I don't know how their QB kept going, I have to give him credit for that.
